About Maple Passions
Hillside Lane Farm is situated on a hillside in Randolph, Vermont. The house looks out over the valley where the towns of Randolph, Braintree, and Brookfield lie nestled among the farm fields and hardwoods. It's a bucolic image straight out of Vermont Life Magazine and home to Cathy and Chip Bacon.
The idea for a body syrup came out of Cathy's love for baking creative desserts. Heavenly chocolate masterpieces as well as a gift for cordials, cakes, and truffles among other temptations.
Cathy branched out from her sweet pursuits into spreads. You'll find these at Hill Side Lane Farm the parent company of Maple Passions. Her imagination has given birth to a now standard line of sauces including Ginger-Garlic, Horseradish, Roasted Red Pepper, and Bruschetta Topping. You'll also find Fruity Maple Syrups, the precursors to the body syrup. Recipes to assist your imagination are also available on the HSLF web site as well.
Behind every creative genius is a down to earth (read: sensible) type of person. In this case, Cathy's husband Chip. The man who puts up with packing peanuts, 14 hour stints at the production kitchen, and then comes home to paperwork and a little web site maintenance. There had to be some reason for the birth of the body syrups - and there was.
So there you have it, the story of Hill Side Lane Farms, Maple Passions and Cathy and Chip Bacon. They've given birth to several great ideas you can taste for yourself.
